More tea, vicar?

My name is Alison, I'm 21 years old, Australian, and a little bit technologically inept. I like books, so that could be why. I know just enough to have this blog so thanks for stumbling across it.

I post pretty randomly, there's no particular rhyme or reason to it. You will see Supernatural, Harry Potter, X-Men: First Class, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Suits, Doctor Who, Sherlock, The Avengers, Avatar the last Airbender and Legend of Korra, Downton Abbey, Batman, Ghibli, Disney and various animated movies, occasional hipster lomo photos, personal posts and rants, art I like, music I listen to, some movie reviews, animals, feminism, lgbt support, and very occasionally a drawing by me, just to name a few things.

Hi guys, please help me raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research!
The Mother’s Day Classic is a fun run/walk raising money for breast cancer research. It is one of Australia’s largest charity events and takes place in seven capital cities and more than 37 metropolitan and regional locations across the country. Families, friends and colleagues come together at each event to do something fun, healthy and memorable on Mother’s Day.
I am participating in a 4.2km run. Every extra dollar I raise through fundraising goes towards vital research into the prevention and cure of breast cancer. I will be participating or volunteering along with 120,000 Australians nationwide who are making a difference on Mother’s Day and taking steps to save lives by helping fund the best breast cancer research. You can help us too by donating online here. Your donation will go towards life-saving research into the prevention and cure of breast cancer.
All proceeds from the Mother’s Day Classic are donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, a not for profit organisation that promotes and supports research into breast cancer prevention and treatment. Since 1998 the Mother’s Day Classic has raised  $10.8 million dollars.

So the boys at uni have this competition going with at least one of the girls, whoever hooks up with her first gets a six pack.

Anyway I didn’t find out about this til later in the night but I think they must have been making jokes when we were at the pub on Friday so I just said off handedly to watch themselves because I’m a feminist or something like that.

I was telling my mum this today and she goes “you probably shouldn’t say that if you want a boyfriend.”

That sentence just set feminism back about 5 years.

Later she asked if I was lesbian.
